There are two main requisites to the trick: the materials and the weather. Just some good old soap and a few other items. It’s not like you’ll be needing uranium for this experiment. If the items aren’t available in the utility room, a quick trip to the closest store will definitely do the trick. The materials essential to the experiment aren’t exactly the most common household items but a fully stocked laundry room will probably provide you with the bare necessities. But finally, not only does the world have its explanation but as well as a guide to making these crystal domes of ice. It was the behavior, the way it crystallized that boggled the minds of thinkers the world over. Once you hit the right proportions for the bubble solution and it’s cold enough outside, chances are, you would get to witness the hypnotic crystallization of a soap bubble. To replicate the magical phenomenon, it took a thousand repetitions of the famous Youtube video, a walk-in freezer that reaches colds up to -20 degrees, and the brightest – and very cold tolerant – engineering minds of a university to decode how and why these icy marvels look and form the way they do. One of the most popular winter science experiments, the freezing bubble entranced viewers of the digital space a few years ago. What better way to celebrate the holidays than by administering a fun and mesmerizing science experiment? Yes, this is in reference to the Youtube video of the soap bubble that slowly froze into an icy orb crystal. As many cities in the world cities celebrate white holidays, it would be a perfect time to look back on one of the most chilling viral videos that circulated on social media sites not too long ago. We placed our Frozen DIY Bubble Wands in a plastic cup on the Bubble Station. It’s the most beautiful time of the year and in many locations in the world, winter has officially come. We called the bubbles “Elsa’s Snow Bubbles” – the kids really loved that! We choose one of the light blue Dawn dishwashing liquids so our Bubble Solution would have that pretty Frozen blue color.įor the day of the party, Laurie used Photoshop to make a sign for our Frozen Bubble Station. We poured all the ingredients into the Bubble Dispenser, gently shook it up and then let it sit for 24 hours before we used it. 2 Tablespoons of glycerin (which I purchased at Amazon). The homemade bubble solution was so easy to make. Next we filled up our Bubble Dispenser with our DIY Bubble Solution. Here is our Frozen themed Bubble Dispenser – it looked gorgeous and was a perfect way for the kids at our Frozen party to get re-fills of bubble solution.

We wanted the bubble dispenser to have some Frozen Flare so we decorated it with paper snowflakes. We used the Cricut to cutout some snowflakes with white scrapbook paper. Then we spray painted the container with the spray paint we used on our Frozen Party Centerpieces. Then we soaked it in hot water to get the paper labels off of both sides. We rinsed it out five or six times to make sure it was clean as we could get it on the inside. Laurie had this fabric softener container that was mostly empty.

It turned out great and the kids loved our Frozen Bubble Station. Genius!! Once we found an empty one, we painted and decorated it. Laurie found an idea for a bubble dispenser on Pinterest using a detergent bottle. We went back and forth about buying bubbles or making bubbles and the logistics that went along with each. Laurie and I knew that we wanted to have bubbles for the kids at Allison’s Frozen party.
